Entry Requirements

2:2 or equivalent in Economics or a relevant discipline. You may also be considered if your degree is in related to Medicine, Pharmacy, or Nursing.

If you have been out of study for a while, or do not have a strong background in economics or mathematics and statistics but have other relevant qualifications or experience, you may be required to take the Summer Session in Economics and Quantitative Methods as a condition of your offer. Alternatively, the Session can also be taken as a stand-alone course.

Module Details

This course is delivered in three main stages over two years: Taught Component (Year 1), Taught Component (Year 2), and MSc (Year 2 with the completion of the dissertation).

Humanitarian Response: Food and Nutrition, Shelter, Health and WASH

Research Methods in Humanitarian Affairs
Option modules
You will take a selection of option modules, examples of which may include:

Education in Emergencies
Evaluating Humanitarian Programmes
Communities in Humanitarian Affairs
Disasters in Complex Political Emergencies
The Climate Crisis
The third component is your dissertation.
