Dundee’s School of Business MSc Accountancy course is designed for fully-exam qualified accountants (any IFAC member body) who wish to strengthen their background by gaining an MSc degree.
MSc Accountancy provides you with additional skills that will help you to pursue a higher-level career in finance. Throughout the course, we’ll study the technical and theoretical aspects of fundamental accounting and finance subjects.
You’ll learn to think analytically and critically about the ways in which modern organisations operate, help in you to understand how businesses create and use information in both operational and strategic contexts.
As well as the core modules, students have the chance to choose from a range of optional modules in accounting and finance subjects – such as Corporate Governance, Emerging Financial Markets, and Investment – and will complete a professional project within the context of international accounting practice during semester two.
Full professional exam qualification from a recognised professional accountancy body: ACCA, ICAS, ICAI, ICAEW, CIPFA and CIMA or other IFAC member body assessed as equivalent by the Programme Director.
