Masters Degree Description

The Postgraduate Certificate in Leadership in Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) Services, based and taught at the Anna Freud, a national charity delivering pioneering mental health care, aims to provide managers and leaders with the necessary background knowledge and understanding to implement change within their CYPMH service, the practical tools to manage this change effectively and a framework for reflective practice and evaluation of the implementation process.

Entry Requirements

Normally a minimum of a second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard in a relevant subject (e.g. psychology) and/or a registerable professional qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. medicine, psychology, social work) from a UK university or overseas professional qualification of an equivalent standard. Candidates without a degree, but with a minimum of three years professional experience in a CAMHS (or equivalent) setting together with a relevant professional qualification will also be considered.

This course aims to provide leaders already within the Children and Young Person's Mental Health (CYPMH) field. 100% of our graduates were in highly-skilled work within 15 months of completing their studies with an average salary of £67,000 (most recent Graduate Outcomes Survey 2022/23 data).
