With us, you will:
Debate and discuss central themes and issues in clinical education
Explore the differences between clinical and educational research
Undertake introductory research training in educational research
Design and conduct small-scale empirical research on a topic relevant to the clinical education workplace
Complete two compulsory modules within the first year (PGCert year), delivered using a flexible, blended learning approach
Complete two compulsory modules in the second year (PGDip year) in a specified order
The second year of our course is delivered completely online. In your final year (MEd year), you’ll complete a dissertation with support from an academic supervisor completely online.

The MEd offers a deep dive into the policy and practice of clinical education and the research it produces as result. You will learn with and from an interdisciplinary and interprofessional team of tutors and peers in a collaborative learning environment. Your learning throughout the course will draw on, and make connections to, your real-world experience as a clinical educator.
There are five compulsory modules in this MEd Clinical Education, which all students must complete in the specified order. The first two modules (PGCert year) use a flexible, blended delivery. The other three modules over Years 2 and 3 are delivered in a fully online format. Research-led teaching, coaching and supervision is provided by a highly experienced, interdisciplinary team from the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
