This is a postgraduate qualification for present and future healthcare practitioners who are working in emerging or specialist roles.
The MA Clinical Effectiveness is designed for those who wish to develop their professional practice and self development in order to gain confidence and competence in evaluating the evidence base for their own practice and delivery of care within current NHS and healthcare agendas.
Students can expect an interactive, practice based programme that uses a combination of the latest technology and traditional methods to enrich learning. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their current practice, developments in health and social care and undertake work-based learning to enhance and develop their skills in their practice setting.
On successful completion of the programme there are likely to be a range of opportunities available to students within the health and social care sector.
All prospective students, who wish to register and enrol for the Post Graduate Certificate, Post Graduate Diploma or MA in Clinical Effectiveness, must meet the following specific entry requirements:
An honours degree normally at 2:2 or above
A professional qualification in health care
Currently working in the field of health and social care
or
A professional qualification in health care
Evidence of the student’s ability to work at master’s level
Currently working in the field of health and social care
Overseas equivalents to the above (with reference to NARIC)
Potentially suitable students may be interviewed in person or by phone so that their interest, motivation and desire to be more effective in practice can be determined.
