This Master of Science in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence will help you design intelligent systems and deliver impactful solutions across sectors.

You’ll cover core computer science topics – from software engineering and database systems to cloud computing and information systems development – alongside AI-focused topics that include machine learning, large language models, and prompt engineering. Learn to design and train artificial intelligence models, apply data mining algorithms, and establish secure, scalable systems. You'll complete a final research project shaped by your interests – whether in data science, human computer interaction, or advanced software development.

Delivered 100% online, the Master's in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence offers flexibility for busy professionals and career changers. Guided by expert lecturers and supported by a Student Success Coordinator, it’s designed for graduates from non-computing backgrounds who want essential skills in computing while specialising in AI.

Entry Requirements

This is a conversion master’s degree – designed for people who didn’t study computing at undergraduate level. To apply, you’ll need to meet the following entry requirements:

  • A UK honours degree at 2:2 or above (or equivalent international qualification) in a subject other than computing.

  • If you hold a non-honours degree and 2 years’ professional experience in one or more computing-related roles, you’re still encouraged to apply. Student Destinations

The UK’s tech sector is booming – now worth $1.2 trillion (Tech Nation Report 2025) and growing faster than anywhere else in Europe. AI is driving much of that growth. The UK is already the third-largest AI market in the world, valued at £72.3bn in 2024 (Business.gov.uk), and with AI-related job posts growing 3.6 times faster than all other UK jobs (PwC UK’s 2024 AI Jobs Barometer), there’s never been a better time to build your expertise.

An online MSc Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence degree puts you right in the middle of this opportunity. You’ll graduate with hands-on experience in machine learning algorithms, data analysis, cloud computing, and software development, plus the critical understanding to apply them in an organisation.
