Our MSc Dental Implantology (Dental Specialties) course gives dental practitioners the knowledge and skills needed to replace missing teeth and support oral tissues with dental implants.
You will develop the requisite knowledge and skills to undertake implant surgery and prosthodontic reconstruction with predictable long-term success while studying a comprehensive range of course units.
You will complete a 5 day foundation course at Manchester Dental Education Centre (MANDEC) in July. This ensures that you possess foundation knowledge before starting the MSc.
You will complete 5 cases and go on surgical placements where you will receive 1-to-1 mentoring from an experienced implant surgeon.
You will also attend a 2-day course run by the Royal College of Surgeons and local consultants, and travel to an implant company teaching centre in Sweden for 2 days to receive teaching from international contributors.
We require evidence of your primary dental qualification from a recognised institution and acceptable levels of literacy in English.
