Engineering is a popular and specialised industry. As an electronic engineer you’ll design, develop and test components, devices, systems or equipment that use electricity as part of their power source.

Our advanced course in Electronic Engineering aims to address the educational and training needs of research, design and development engineers working in the area of electronic systems. It should appeal to those of you wanting to specialise in the areas of digital system development, systems on ‘chip’ (SoC) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGA).The course will suit your interest if you’re looking at comprehensive analysis of current digital systems and investigation of future techniques and methodologies.

You will have the opportunity to choose from modules taught within the area of electrical and electronic engineering. Covering topics areas such as Advanced Digital Design Systems, Computers in Control and Project and Finance Management.

Graduate destinations are in innovative electronic product design; medical, aerospace and military system research and development.

Entry Requirements

An Honours degree (2:2 or above) in Electronic Engineering, Computing or related disciplines

Or equivalent professional qualification

Other qualifications and/or experience that demonstrates appropriate knowledge and skills at Honours degree standard may also be accepted

If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
