Masters Degree Description

Covering 1 of the most dynamic and fast-growing areas of legal specialisation, the aim of this programme is to give students a firm grounding in the key areas of employment law and practice and to explore the boundaries of the subject; it covers the central issues and elements in employment law today, such as EC employment law, family policy and discrimination at work; it offers a chance to engage with the practice of employment law, drafting employment contracts and codes of practice.

Entry Requirements

A good degree (2.2 or above) either in law or a related subject area; relevant work experience is also considered; applicants with relevant work experience in an human resources or personnel role are welcome; international students should be able to provide satisfactory evidence of proficiency in English; IELTS: 6.5 overall (minimum 6.0 in each component); TOEFL: Internet-based score of 92 overall (minimum 21 in the listening and writing components; 22 in the reading component; and 23 in the speaking component); PTE: 62 overall (minimum 55 in all components); where a visa for study is required, UK Borders Agency minimum English requirements must be met.
