As a director or senior executive, leadership is the most important part of the role. However, in a turbulent business climate, leaders cannot model themselves on leadership approaches from the past and expect to meet the demands of today.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTSApplicants must:(a) have gained:(i) a second class honours degree or better from a university of theUnited Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland, or from a recognisednational awarding body, or from an institution of another countrywhich has been recognised as being of an equivalent standard;or(ii) an equivalent standard (normally 50%) in a Graduate Diploma,Graduate Certificate, Postgraduate Certificate or PostgraduateDiploma or an approved alternative qualification; and(iii) normally be currently employed in a senior managerial/leadershipposition (or aspiring to be) and have five years’ relevantexperience; or(iv) if currently unemployed, have been employed in a seniormanagerial/leadership position within the previous three yearsand have five years’ relevant experience; and(v) have successfully completed an interview as to their suitability toundertake the programme.B3 1/17 February 2021and(b) provide evidence of competence in written and spoken English (GCSEgrade C or equivalent, e.g. a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 orequivalent, with no band score under 5.5);or, as an alternative to (a) (i) or (a) (ii) and/or (b):(c) in exceptional circumstances, where an individual has substantial andsignificant experiential learning, a portfolio of written evidencedemonstrating the meeting of graduate qualities (including subjectspecificoutcomes, as determined by the Course Committee) may beconsidered as an alternative entrance route. Evidence used todemonstrate graduate qualities may not be used for exemption againstmodules within the programme.
