Group work is encouraged throughout the module, and you will critically debate the use of information technology in an enterprise setting throughout your studies. 

This module can also be your gateway to a full master’s degree. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to progress on to one of our full postgraduate computer science programmes: Computer ScienceCyber SecurityData Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Information Systems Management

Entry Requirements

Global Trends in Computer Science is the ideal gateway to a master’s degree. On successful completion you will be eligible to progress on to one of our full postgraduate computer science programmes.

You do not require any previous qualifications or work experience to undertake this module, but any relevant professional exposure will benefit your study experience.  

You must provide evidence that you have an English language ability equivalent to an IELTS (academic) score of 6.5. If you do not have an IELTS or equivalent certificate, you can take our free online English test to assess your proficiency. You do not need to prove your English ability if you are a national of, or have completed a qualification equivalent to a UK degree within the last two years in any of these countries
