The design, development and management of large-scale computerised information systems, which are critical to organisations in the 21st century, brings major challenges and opportunities. The MSc Information Systems offers a flexible programme of study that aims to explore the industry and prepare the student for a career with a technical focus, or further study via a PhD. The focus is on the complex social and technical issues involved in building and maintaining large information systems, drawing on ideas and techniques from a range of disciplines.
Open to students with a good first degree (min 2.1 or equivalent) with a substantial computing component. Equivalent qualifications and experience will also be considered. Basic knowledge of programming (Java) and database systems is assumed. We welcome applications from students whose first language is not English.
