This specialist pathway will help you to develop an understanding of finance within organisations, as well as develop knowledge of key elements of corporate financial management. There is a particular focus on international capital markets and international banking, preparing you for employment in international contexts where the management of capital in mixed financial economies is complex and therefore risky.
This course will provide you with a thorough understanding of the principals of management and finance, in an international context. You will study a core range of stimulating modules and also have the chance to focus in more detail on areas that interest you.
Evidence of basic skills in using software packages for word-processing, spreadsheets and powerpoint. Candidates without basic IT skills will be expected to attend a course to improve their skills that will run during the first half of the first semester.
You are usually expected to hold a good second-class honours degree (or above) from an approved university or college in the UK, or a recognised degree from abroad. Advice on recognition may be obtained from the Admissions Manager. Non-graduates with appropriate professional or other qualifications may be accepted on an individual basis by course conveners. The level of English required is ACADEMIC IELTS at 6.5 overall with no less than 5.5 in any band.
