The MSc in Management in Health and Social Care welcomes UK, EU and international applicants who want to study health and social care management and leadership at an advanced level.
The impact of leadership and organisational management on delivering quality health and social care is fundamental, particularly in the current context of global economic challenge, significant developments in technology, and changes in the expectations and relationships within health and social care consumption.
This course will help you to manage with confidence. It will enable you to work more effectively as a manager and leader well equipped to deal with the challenges of an ever changing and complex environment of health and social care; you will learn theory to give you the big picture and critical thinking to apply it in practice.

A limited number of scholarships are offered by Oxford Brookes University. Applicants who have been offered a full-time place on this master’s course are eligible to apply for the following scholarships:
John Henry Brookes Scholarship
The John Henry Brookes Scholarship is awarded to home/EU and international applicants for academic excellence. Each scholarship will be paid towards the tuition fee for a taught master’s degree. Funding
UK applicants may be eligible for funding or sponsorship to undertake the course through your local strategic health authority, your employer or another source (note: these sources are not open to international students). Self-funding applicants are also welcome to apply.

The course seeks to develop your knowledge, skills and experience as team leader and manager of resources and strategic policy, allowing you to contribute to the formation of corporate policy. We will help you develop the skills needed to plan, implement and evaluate projects and to develop competence in the practice setting based on the management charter initiative.
The course is offered at three levels: a postgraduate certificate (PGCert), a postgraduate diploma (PGDip) and as a master’s degree (MSc).
The PGCert is based on the completion of the following single modules:
The PGDip is based on the completion of three modules listed above, plus the following single modules:
Plus one acceptable single module selected from the postgraduate course portfolio. For example: health promotion, epidemiology, evaluation or statistics.
The MSc is based on the completion of the modules listed under PGCert and PGDip plus the following triple module:
