Masters Degree Description

This course covers fundamental and advanced topics relevant to the modern microelectronics industry, including semiconductor devices, fabrication technology, digital techniques, VLSI circuits and systems design.

The course covers the main areas of microelectronics:

  • semiconductor theory and fabrication
  • digital and VSLI design
  • reconfigurable systems
  • application areas.

Entry Requirements

A 2:2 BEng honours degree, or international equivalent, in:

  • electrical and electronic engineering
  • computer engineering
  • mechanical engineering
  • physics
  • communications, information and control engineering
  • optical information science and technology.

English Language Requirements

To study this course you need to meet our Band 1 English Language Requirements.

Direct Entry: IELTS 6.0 overall (with a minimum of 5.5 in all sub-skills).
