Masters Degree Description

Our Procurement and Supply Chain Management MSc has been co-designed with senior procurement and supply chain professionals. This purchasing postgraduate course will provide you with the specialist knowledge and skills in procurement and supply chain management that you need to further your career in this sector. It shares course content, including modules and other course activities, with our world-renowned Logistics and Supply Chain Management MSc course, which is ranked 2nd in the UK and 11th in the world in QS World University Rankings: Masters in Supply Chain Management Rankings 2022.

We have one of the largest faculties in Europe, and many of our faculty are regarded as leading experts in this area, combining excellent reputations for teaching with experience drawn from the commercial world.

Our approach to teaching is designed to nurture your practical business skills and confidence, and places huge emphasis on real-world challenges.

Gain an in-depth understanding of: supply chain strategy and sustainability; procurement strategy; supplier selection and evaluation; negotiation and contract management; how to analyse and design effective supply chain operations; how to use data, models and software to solve problems and inform decisions;  inventory and operations management; accounting; freight transport and project management.

The opportunity to attend a study tour and experience a supply chain perspective in a different economic region in Europe.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in other course activities including warehouse visits, hands-on latest software/platforms and simulation games.

Study within a truly international environment, with students and academics coming from over 50 countries.

Entry Requirements

We welcome applications from talented candidates from all backgrounds. Candidates are normally high potential, managers with 3 to 10 years’ post-qualification experience in Marketing roles. Usually candidates must hold either a:

  • First or a 2.1 UK honours degree in a relevant discipline, or
  • an international qualification of a standard equivalent to a First or 2.1 UK honours degree

Module Details

The course comprises ten core modules and four elective modules. This enables you to tailor the course to suit your personal career plan. You will have the opportunity to attend a study tour, subject to additional cost. The culmination of the learning process is your opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills you have developed on the programme in an individual thesis project.
