Gain the training to become a Mammographer and work within the National Health Service Breast Screening Programme

Our dedicated and highly experienced teaching team at City St George's National Breast Education Centre have been supporting students achieve this goal for many years, are dedicated to the continuing development of the profession and the skills you require to work and succeed for your patients and clients within the service.

The contemporary and evidence-based nature of the programme structure reflects current workforce development needs and training requirements within Mammography.

City St George’s, University of London, in collaboration with the Rose Breast Education Centre, St George’s NHS Foundation Trust are delighted to provide the high quality support and training required to enable Radiographers to work within the NHS Breast Screening Programme as a Mammographer.

Entry Requirements

To be considered for this course, you will need to:

  • Meet the entry criteria
  • Write a personal statement
  • Provide two suitable references including confirmation of mentoring support

Applicants also need:

  • To be registered with the UK Health and Care Professions Council or relevant healthcare registrant body. Confirmed via HCPC registration uploaded onto application.
  • To have employment-based access to appropriate patient groups (breast screening patients or symptomatic patients). Confirmed via personal statement, employment history, or reference.
