Masters Degree Description

Project managers are at the forefront of leading change in a diverse range of organisations, from charities and local government, to banks, aerospace, construction, retail and the wider commercial sector. We believe that changing the way organisations work by helping to shape their future direction and success can be one of the most rewarding and exciting careers.

Projects are about delivering beneficial change through new initiatives, product developments and service improvements, as well as projects that produce the physical world around us, such as buildings and roads.

 

Entry Requirements

Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the project management work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional; all applicants should satisfy our University English language requirements. 
IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.

An opportunity to engage in research or advanced scholarship in a subject area that is appropriate to the course and is of particular interest to you.

Review a range of project control mechanisms, reporting tools and techniques. You will also analyse and evaluate project progress review information and prepare appropriate reporting mechanisms.

Review the range and suitability of different project planning and definition techniques.

An opportunity to look at the latest issues in the development and delivery of projects, while also building your ability to predict what may occur in the future.

Understand the theory and science of human behaviour to enable you to better facilitate optimum and rational decision making in strategy and projects.

To understand, translate, and evaluate the strategic environment and understand its impact on project and programme delivery.
