Masters Degree Description
This course will prepare practitioners to work in defined areas of community public health practice. You’ll demonstrate achievement of the ‘Standards of Proficiency’ required by the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC 2004) for Registration as a Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Health Visitor.

- Applicants should apply via their local 0-19 years’ service provider adverts for Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Health Visitor studentships/training contracts.
Entry Requirements
The normal requirements for embarking upon this course are:
- A Bachelors Honours degree with 2:2 or equivalent in any subject or equivalent.
- Current registration on part one or part two of the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) register and that you have a training contract or secondment from a 0-19 years’ service provider/NHS employer.

This course is commissioned by the local NHS trust so there are no fees.
