This programme provides a solid understanding of the accounting and strategic management issues involved in the business environment, and builds in-depth knowledge of the accounting background. Graduates from this programme are likely to take up professional accounting training or managerial careers, in both the business and public sectors, or to continue study by research in related disciplines.

International Accounting Standards Semester 1, Mandatory Evaluate theories and empirical studies in the areas covered by international standards of accounting, analyse the outcome of the standard setting process from different theoretical perspectives, and assess observed practices in terms of regulatory and cultural frameworks.
Competitive Strategy Semester 1 Mandatory Examines how companies compete by developing and understanding the interactions and relationships between theoretical concepts; examining the individual components of strategic management models and considering how companies may achieve and sustain competitive advantage.
Strategic Change Semester 1, Mandatory Looking at organisational change from a strategic perspective, this course differentiates between the concepts and models of change management and consider their application to a variety of situations and environments.
International Management Accounting Semester 2 Mandatory Develops understanding and analytical skills of management accounting in an international and comparative context. Includes the changing roles of accountants in a global environment, culture and complexity in management accounting, and managerial accounting in the strategic environment.
Research Methods Semester 2, Mandatory Looking at both qualitative and quantitative techniques this course will equip students with the means to develop and carry out their own research projects and to evaluate the contributions of others.
