The MA Film and Media Production offers a unique blend of practical production skills, professional knowledge and academic study as well as opportunities for you to become a researcher in your own right.
We have designed the course to be taught through a combination of intensive workshop sessions, online interactive and self-directed teaching, as well as group and individual tutorials. The programme provides intensive instruction in sound recording and design, cinematography and camerawork, lighting, non-linear editing, scriptwriting, producing and directing.
Why study MA Film and Media Production?
The MA Film & Media Production is practically based but it should not be seen only as a vocational preparation. It includes an important theoretical component that is related to the practical side of the programme; theoretical issues are explored through both practice and in a dedicated theory module.
Undergraduate degree at 2:2 or above, or alternative qualifications and substantial relevant experience may be considered.
